Happy Canada Day!
I wear red and white. Back home, Prince William and Kate are in Ottawa.
I am certainly not a monarchist, but a glimpse of them would have be fun.
I celebrate Canada Day at the ambassador’s home with other Canadians, diplomats, and expats. I revel in the rare English conversation mixed with French here and there.
Ambassador Jean-Carol Pelletier leads me by the hand to show off the cake. I see the lovely women flirt with him along the way. He, the gallant single Quebecois, flirts right back. Yes, I thoroughly enjoy hobnobbing with them all.
