My discovery of sketching is likened to discovering literacy. Just as I devoured books in childhood, I have an urge to sketch everything in sight. I return to AGO’s Inuit Modern exhibit with pencil and sketch book in hand. I forge ahead to sketch whatever is before me, whether of extraordinary beauty or mundane.
I get a third dose of French comedy today. I will miss Cinefranco come next week. “RTT” (Day Off) is a hilarious take on an improbable plot: a man chasing after his girlfriend ends up falling for an art thief who uses him.
On display at TIFF is the Oscar presented to Denys Arcand for "Barbarian Invasions" for best foreign film in 2003. I liked the film even before discovering this.
I have visitation rights with my ‘ex-car’. Gianni, the new owner and my personal pizzaiole, picks me up. The car seems to purr under his care. Luckily, he seems happy with the car. I would hate to jeopardize a friendship and, of equal importance, the source of my pizza Christina (mushrooms, artichokes, roasted potatoes with a tomato pesto base).
