April 8: Purge

My life seems to revolve around cheese this week, inadvertently so. One friend give me a good chunk of parmesan straight from Italy, and today, another gift of a fresh Italian delicate cheese. I savour the honeyed feta from Atlantic and the reverence inducing mozzarella from Local. Throughout the week, I grill the long sought and recently located halloum cheese. For good measure, I even get paneer and kofta at A1 Sweets.

I am purging my life at a clipped pace. Todd and Analynn moves my furniture out. My body revolts against dining cross legged by my remaining coffee table. Is this aging? Or are these aches due to over-exercise? Earlier this week, a visit to see Dr. Campbell, a colleague and sports medicine specialist, confirms that the kinks are more than just normal aging.

Corinne forwards a test of creativity. I am to spot the man in the coffee beans. I fail miserably. According to this, I have a long way to go to develop my right brain. The research scientist in me kicks in: this is an unvalidated test--whew!
