I walk out of my house and into a Christmas card this morning. Bright sunlit blue skies frame majestic snow dusted pines. Among all this is a pretty little river that meanders its way through town.
The down side to all this prettiness is that clear days are usually also cold days. Today is no exception. I had an inkling when I woke up at 3:30 a.m. and added layers to my bedclothes every half hour or so. If I could not warm up, I certainly would be well padded with my 4 layers if I happen to fall out of bed. The thermostat was registering 21 degrees but it sure wasn’t 21 degrees where I slept.
I head off to work. A steady stream of patients presented at the door. Managing a patient with Addison’s disease makes for an interesting change from coughs and colds.
