The Distillery District makes a great setting for a European styled Christmas market. I check it out for its authenticity. Cute woodcut ornaments, gluhwein, and a giant gingerbread house--not a bad version of a Christkindlmarkt.
Brrrr! The temperature is dropping--definitely not outdoor skating weather. The icy wind whipping into my face while I glide around does not make for a pleasant outing, so I join Rosemary at the Beer Lovers’ event instead. I am not a beer lover but Reethi runs a really fun group. It took a long time for me to figure out how people knew that I did not have a beer in my hand in the dim lighting. I finally clued in that it was the straw. I had a blast, seeing lots of people I know from my dining out group. I think I will become a pseudo-beer lover.
