
Brrr! I remind myself that it was a mere 7 days ago when I told a couple of Australians that I was looking forward to the cold. The northerly winds bite.
“Don’t tell anyone but I cried”, I overheard when I came out of the theatre. Yes, there is drama in pastry making. I went to see “Kings of Pastry”, a documentary film about French pastry chefs at the new TIFF Lightbox. I check out the modern lines: KPMB’s signature boxed in glass panes and open spaces.
Funny that I would come out of the theatre feeling OD’ed on sugar. I eschew the dessert menu and get a simple thin crust pizza at the new O&B Canteen. Even then, the crust and sauce was a bit too sweet after all the sugary treats on which my eyes feasted.
