January 2: Tea fit for emperors

I get my treadmilling in before trekking up to Graceful for some vegie dim sum today.

I stop by my favourite tea shop. For years, I worked steps away from this outpost of the famed Luk Yu tea shop of Hong Kong. Then one day, the owner became very ill and eventually died. The store remained dormant for 3 years before a relative reopened the store. I now have access to my favourite Bai Lo Chung once again. The $96/lb price tag may sound like a splurge but a quarter pound pouch lasts me a couple of months--lot cheaper than daily lattes at Starbucks!
