I hand over my car keys in 2 days. I am both excited and nervous about the new status. I stock up on all the heavy bulky staples. My replacement vehicle is already picked out, just in case this ‘going carless’ experiment doesn’t pan out. Maybe I need to change my attitude to make this work.
The Winterlicious menu at Amaya sounds too good to miss. However, the menu has a major change: instead of a stuffed eggplant steak, only a vegetable curry is on offer. I am disappointed. I spend hours perusing and ranking the menus each ‘licious season. I would not have come for just a vegetable curry. I point out the change to the server and maitre d’ who are not even close to apologetic. A classic bait and switch? They just lost a crusading customer with lots of foodie friends.
Ooh, that sucks. The eggplant steak was the reason I wanted to go as well.
